Samples
Thanks to Biorizon’s high-quality facilities, specialized knowledge, years of experience and the successful involvement of the entire bio-aromatics value chain, we manage to produce bio-aromatics continuously (on a kg/h scale). We are currently validating our continuous processes and working with industry partners toward the next stage: demonstration. This makes Shared Research Center Biorizon the most advanced and valued research program in sustainable bio-aromatics worldwide. We offer the chemical industry an excellent platform to make the transition to a circular bio-economy.
Do you want to contribute to our mission to enable commercial production of bio-aromatics by 2025? Come and join us! Take a look at Biorizon's samples, and reach out to our business development managers for more information.
Hexahydro-4,7-epoxyisobenzofuran-1,3-dione (F:MA-H2-DAA), Hexahydro-4-methyl-4,7-epoxyisobenzofuran-1,3-dione (MF:MA-H2-DAA) and Hexahydro-4,7-dimethyl-4,7-epoxyisobenzofuran-1,3-dione (DMF:MA-H2-DAA)
F:MA-H2-DAA, MF:MA-H2-DAA and DMF:MA-H2-DAA are new biobased pseudo-aromatic products which have no current commercial application. Biorizon is interested in defining end-user applications in which these products might be interesting and testing them to determine if they have the potential to deliver added value over current industrial petrochemical standards.
3-Methylhexahydrophthalic Anhydride (3-MHHPA) and 3,6-Dimethylhexahydrophthalic Anhydride (3,6-DMHHPA)
3-MHHPA and 3,6-DMHHPA are biobased near-drop-in replacements for petrochemical HHPA, a speciality chemical which finds application in durable, high gloss, weather-resistant coatings, and high-end electrical applications. 3-MHHPA and 3,6-DMHHPA might also find use in new end-user applications.
Hexahydrophthalic Anhydride (HHPA)
HHPA is a bio-based direct drop-in for petrochemical HHPA, a speciality chemical which finds application in durable, high gloss, weather-resistant coatings, and high-end electrical applications.
Hemimellitic acid (HMA)
HMA is a biobased near-drop-in replacement for petrochemical trimellitic acid/anhydride (TMA). It has been shown to have beneficial effects - or comparable effects - when compared to phthalic anhydride in end-user products such as polyurethanes, and lubricants. HMA might also find use in new end-user applications.
3-Methylphthalic Anhydride (3-MPA)
3-MPA is a biobased near-drop-in replacement for petrochemical phthalic anhydride (PA). It has been shown to have beneficial effects - or comparable effects - when compared to PA in end-user products such as coatings, pigments, polyurethanes, and lubricants. 3-MPA might also find use in new end-user applications.
Samples of lignin based adhesive resins and lubricants
Maastricht University, a partner in Biorizon's BIO-HArT project, is looking for companies interested in receiving samples of lignin based adhesive resins and lubricants to test them in their own applications and share the results with us.
