GPC (Gel Permeation Chromatography)

Agilent 1200 Series LC system equipped with a Shimadzu Prominence autosampler, a Shimadzu Prominence column oven and a ultraviolet (UV) and refractive index (RID) detectors

GPC used it is highly extended in polymer science. GPC separate molecules by means of their size or hydrodynamic volume. As a results a GPC chromatogram gives a results different peaks for different size molecules.

Applications

• Characterization of organic molecules and polymers information about Mw, Mn and dispersity of the sample

Features

• UV and RID detectors. Columns for organic solvents (THF) and water based mixtures.
